The common areas inside every condominium building are high traffic areas that get messy and dirty fast from tenants and guests coming in and out everyday. Anyone who cares about the cleanliness of their unit will also care about the cleanliness of their building. Fortunately, we can come in and make your building sparkle! What We Clean


• Clean entire lobby area

• Remove cobwebs

• Wipe interior windows

• Sweep & mop or vacuum all stairs in common areas

• Dust all baseboards

• Wipe all mirrors and light fixtures

• Change supplied light bulbs within reach

• Vacuum/sweep/mop elevator

• Empty trash


                                     For liability and hazardous reasons, we DO NOT do the following:

1.) Clean anything exterior. We do not want harsh weather to result in complaints or subject the maids to these conditions.

2.) Climb on ladders. Please provide a step stool if needed.

3.) Move heavy appliances or anything over 20 LBS. You are welcome to move heavy items so the maids can get underneath or behind to clean these areas.

4.) Clean rodent/bug infested homes or animal feces.

5.) Wipe blinds/shades or walls because they can bend or break and paint can be removed. We will, however, dust them.

6.) Bring poles to clean high windows. We will, however, glady clean windows within reach.

7.) We do not assist in discarding any big or heavy items such as junk items and only will only discard normal trash items in standard-size garbage bags.

  • What services do you provide?

    Our service includes one-time cleaning service as well as creating a planned cleaning schedule with each of our clients. Our professional, friendly team can take care of the cleaning for a move out/in, apartment cleaning, regular home cleaning and more! We provide service to the entire Chicagoland area. We clean both residential and commercial spaces. We additionally service Condo Associations and short-term residences.

  • Can I schedule you on a regular basis? Or for a one-time clean?

    Whether you want weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or even one-time cleaning for move outs or spring cleaning, we make sure your spaces shine. Maid for Chicago operates with integrity and efficiency to get your spaces cleaner-- faster than anyone else! To make a regular cleaning schedule, give us a call, and we will set up a regular service schedule so you won’t have to remember to set up an appointment every week or month.

  • I want a cleaning service – but am worried about random people being in my home?

    We totally understand! And we want you to feel comfortable with us in your home. That’s why we never use contractors – each of our maids is a trusted employee. We provide them a living wage, vacation pay, worker's compensation, unemployment insurance, and liability insurance. We perform background checks on each of employees, so you we know they are upstanding citizens. Plus, we always try to send the same two cleaners to your house, so you can develop a rapport with you. If you do have a concern with any of our maids, we can require our employees to submit to a polygraphy in the case of damage or theft. We do everything we can to give you reliable, professional service.

  • Do I have to be present to let you in all day?

    No, of course not! You are welcome to stay while we clean, but if you have work or other responsibilities, we can acquire your key before our cleaning appointment. Additionally,  for your convenience, we can attach a lockbox at your residence prior to your cleaning so you and the maids can put/retrieve the keys inside. We will contact you with the code and pick up the lockbox within 48 hours.

  • Do I need to provide cleaning supplies?

    Nope! We supply all cleaning supplies. Plus, we can offer green cleaning upon request. However, if there are special products you have that you would prefer us to use, please call us so that we can best know how to accommodate you.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    The following fee will be charged if the customer does not cancel within 48 hours:

    • $30 for cleanings under 4 hours
    • $50 for cleanings 4 hours and over

    These fees go to the maids for lost work time due to the cancellation.

  • Do you offer "green" cleanings?

    We offer green cleans where  we only use vinegar/water, baking soda, and mild dish soap, but gladly use your products per request.  However, green-clean products are not as effective as standard products such as Lysol, Ajax, or degreasers. So for deep cleaning situations  such as remove harsh mildew, water, grease, and dirt stains-- these non-green products can't do the job. This is the trade off. That's why we use regular toilet bowl cleaner inside the toilet bowl. If you only want only green clean products used inside the toilet bowl please advise.

  • Are there any cleaning services you won't do?
